REAL ESTATE CLASSES

The Business School at UT Austin has long offered individual real estate courses, but the Real Estate Finance and Investment Center, for the first time, offers students a comprehensive program combining the disciplines of finance, real estate, law, and community planning. Undergraduate students will graduate to fast-track positions as analysts, commercial leasing agents, and property managers, while MBA's will begin careers in investment banking, development, and opportunity funds.

The UT Department of Finance is in an excellent position to lead other schools in this educational initiative. In contrast to other major real estate programs, real estate at The University of Texas at Austin is integrated into a formidable finance department with faculty who are top researchers not only in real estate, but also in the related fields of financial markets, securitization, and financial risk management. By combining the faculty resources in real estate and finance, REFIC has created the preeminent academic program in this exciting area.
