THE COUNCIL
Ty Puckett Mark Gibson Jeff Mundy & Kenneth Aboussie  William Ross
The Council of the Real Estate Finance and Investment Center is comprised of leading professionals in the Texas and U.S. real estate communities who are willing to serve as advisors and financial supporters of the Center and the UT real estate program.

Members of the Council assist the Director of the Center and faculty by advising on program strategy and curriculum design, speaking in classes, providing career advice to students in the program, identifying employment opportunities for students, and supplying real estate properties as cases.

The Council meets twice a year in Austin at the April and November conferences hosted by the Center. Executive level members have the added benefit of attending the Executive Council’s Roundtable Dinner on the evening prior to each conference. The Roundtable Dinner serves as a platform for candid discussion among Executive members regarding the state of the real estate business from members’ perspectives.

The objective of each spring and fall conference is to inform our Council Members of important regional and national issues affecting real estate and financial markets. The spring conference is typically held in conjunction with the Annual Alumni Golf Tournament, hosted by the McCombs school’s Graduate and Undergraduate Real Estate Societies. The fall conference is held in conjunction with the National Real Estate Challenge each November, also hosted by the Center.
