Granite Properties, Inc. has an opening for a Sr. Investment Analyst in the Corporate Office in Plano, TX.  Responsibilities include analyzing investment opportunities, such as build-to-suit opportunities, new developments, acquisitions, and leases; leading the underwriting of acquisitions and development for Office, Industrial and Retail; ability to independently model an investment opportunity utilizing Argus or by creating a model in Excel; preparing materials for distribution to Granite’s internal investment committee and assisting Directors of Investments with investment committee presentations.  Other responsibilities include overseeing due diligence and closing process independently; performing lease analysis, credit analysis, etc. on potential tenants and business partners; underwriting projects for capital structuring to include debt and equity utilizing Argus and Excel; performing special projects to support business objectives, such as portfolio valuations, dispositions, quarterly reporting, capital projects, updating and creating models; performing economic and market research to gather pertinent data such as economic forecasts and interest, employment, and occupancy rates; and training and mentoring Investment Analysts.  Other duties as assigned.

Ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance or related field; 4+ years related work experience. Strong knowledge of the nuances of Dallas, Houston, Austin, Atlanta and Denver including different rental rate structures and operating expenses. Strong understanding of the due diligence process and the ability to abstract leases, review contracts, and review physical due diligence. Candidate will be proficient in Excel and Argus; will possess excellent presentation, communication skills and the ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines.
